Amazing accomplishment during our visit to Washington for the NCRA Boot Camp! We look forward to following the progress of this bill.

As courts explore AI and ASR technologies, the bill would establish critical oversight mechanisms to ensure accuracy, security, and due process are never compromised.

News from Washington!

Today the "Research and Oversight of AI in Courts Act of 2026" was introduced in Congress with NCRA’s support. The proposed legislation is bipartisan and bicameral and was introduced by Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi, Sen. Peter Welch of Vermont, and Rep. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming.

As courts explore AI and ASR technologies, the bill would establish critical oversight mechanisms to ensure accuracy, security, and due process are never compromised.

NCRA members have been leading the conversation on this issue, including advocating directly on Capitol Hill during our recent Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp
