President

Ninette Butler, RMR, CRR, CRC, RSA, FPR-C

Ninette has been a stenographer since 1994. She started her career as a ProCAT representative and software trainer.  She has been a freelance reporter, specializing in realtime and daily copy in civil trials and depositions. Ninette has had the privilege of speaking at both the state and national association conventions.  She developed and managed the captioning program for the hard-of-hearing ministry at First Baptist Orlando for 10 years.  In 2024, she launched her own court reporting firm, Butler Reporting.

​

Ninette is currently the Vice President of the Florida Court Reporters Association.  She has previously held the offices of Treasurer, Secretary, State Director, and Director at Large.  She has served as chairman of the Pro Bono Committee and has been a member of the Professional Ethics, Schools, Government Relations, and Social Media/Technology committees.

​

Ninette is happily married to Kevin Butler and has proudly raised two kids, Noah and Bellamy. She loves her two dogs -- Major, a Hungarian Vizsla; and Duchess, a German Shorthaired Pointer -- and three cats. She enjoys escaping to Park City, Utah, for some outdoor fun and much-needed rest and relaxation.

Amanda Brown

Director of Operations

Amanda began her career in the court reporting industry in 2007 as a scheduler, quickly developing a passion for technology, organization, and creating more efficient workflows. Over the years, she has played an integral role in streamlining operations and improving the systems that support both clients and team members.

​

As Director of Operations at Butler Reporting, Amanda brings nearly two decades of industry experience and a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations behind a successful litigation support firm. Her self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and innovative approach help keep the firm running efficiently while ensuring clients receive responsive, dependable service.

​

Fun Fact: Amanda has been married to her high school sweetheart since 2006. Outside of Butler Reporting, she enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, and beekeeping, usually with her four beloved dogs nearby.

Karen Davis-Diaz

Director of Client Services

Karen Davis-Diaz began her career in the court reporting field in 2007, starting in scheduling and quickly rising to the role of scheduling manager. Over the past 18 years, her passion for client engagement led her to transition into client services, where she’s thrived in a variety of roles—each one focused on delivering exceptional support and building lasting relationships. Known for her approachable nature and dedication to client satisfaction, Karen finds genuine joy in helping others navigate their needs with confidence and care.

​

Originally born in the charming coastal town of Biarritz, France, Karen speaks French fluently.  She moved to Asheville, North Carolina, at the age of three and currently resides in Orlando. She’s been happily married to Cesar Diaz for over a decade and is a proud mom to three sons: Preston (25), Austin (22), and Xavier (9). Outside of work, Karen loves diving into a good book, relaxing poolside or at the beach, and exploring new destinations whenever she gets the chance.

Kierra Montgomery

Scheduling Manager

Kierra Montgomery, born and raised in Grand Bahama, Bahamas, came to the U.S. in 2009 to pursue a career in stenography. In 2016, she transitioned to the administrative side of court reporting, advancing from scheduler to Calendar Coordinator and Department Lead.

​

As Scheduling Manager at Butler Reporting, Kierra brings more than a decade of industry experience, a strong network of connections, and in-depth knowledge of the court reporting process. She is known for her organization, precision, and ability to coordinate complex scheduling needs while providing exceptional support to clients and resources.

​

Fun Fact: Kierra has been married to her husband for 16 years and is a proud mom. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and Hallmark Christmas movies, but loves traveling, attending church, and enjoying fun-filled days at Disney and Universal Studios.​​

Max Richter

Transcript Integrity Manager

Max Richter began his career in the court reporting industry as a scopist, where he quickly developed an appreciation for the precision and attention to detail required to produce exceptional transcripts. His experience working directly with transcripts provides a strong foundation for his role as Director of Transcript Integrity at Butler Reporting, where he helps ensure every transcript meets the firm’s standards for accuracy, consistency, and quality.

​

With a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Max plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of Butler Reporting’s work and the high level of service clients have come to expect. He takes pride in reviewing the details that can make a meaningful difference in the final product and helping ensure each transcript is polished, accurate, and delivered with confidence.

​

Fun Fact: Max is a nature lover who enjoys watching Florida showers roll in with his partner, Bellamy. He is also the proud dad of many animals and loves taking them along on weekend adventures.

Kathy Gil

Billing Manager

Kathy Gil is a family-first professional who brings a natural talent for organization, structure, and attention to detail to her role as Billing Manager at Butler Reporting. With 10 years of experience in the court reporting industry, including six years in leadership roles, she brings a thoughtful and dependable approach to managing billing processes and ensuring details are handled accurately and efficiently.

​

Known for her approachable nature and commitment to continuous learning, Kathy is always looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge and strengthen her skills. She enjoys exploring business, finance, and personal development through books, master classes, and other learning opportunities.

​

Fun Fact: Kathy has been married to her high-school sweetheart for 25 years and is a proud mom of two spirited daughters. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, creative projects, reading, and staying active.

Bellamy Long

Scheduling Coordinator

Bellamy is a dedicated member of the Butler Reporting team, focused on providing clients with friendly, attentive, and responsive service. She works closely with clients to assist with questions, requests, and scheduling needs, helping ensure that every interaction with Butler Reporting is handled efficiently and professionally. Her approachable nature, patience, and attention to detail make her a trusted resource for clients and an important part of the Butler team.

Bellamy brings a versatile background and a natural ability to stay organized while managing the many details that come with supporting clients. She takes pride in being helpful, dependable, and making each client’s experience as seamless as possible.

​

Fun Fact: Bellamy lives in Orlando with her partner, Max, and their large and friendly dog, Winston. They enjoy weekend road trips and exploring dog-friendly beaches together.

Meghan Cunningham

Transcript Integrity Specialist

Meghan Cunningham brings a strong background in English, writing, editing, and transcript review to Butler Reporting. A former proofreader for the Division of Administrative Hearings, she has also worked as a college English professor, written textbooks, and currently coaches graduate students in writing.

​

As a Transcript Integrity Specialist at Butler Reporting, Meghan uses her extensive proofreading and editing experience to help ensure transcripts are polished, accurate, consistent, and professionally prepared. Her attention to detail and knowledge of language make her a valuable part of the transcript production process. She takes pride in reviewing the finer details and helping maintain the high standards Butler Reporting strives to deliver with every transcript. Her experience allows her to bring a thoughtful and highly detail-oriented approach to each transcript she reviews.

Fun Fact: In her free time, Meghan enjoys reading, spending time with her cats and hamster, and roller skating whenever she gets the chance. She also enjoys finding time for the things that keep her creative, active, and entertained.

Sherry Laurino

Director of Marketing & Special Projects

Sherry Laurino brings more than 15 years of experience in the court reporting industry, with a background in marketing, operations, business development, and firm growth. She played an integral role in helping build and expand a leading court reporting firm, including designing and overseeing the build-out of eight locations across Florida and managing purchasing and vendor relationships for 13 offices.

​

Her experience has touched nearly every aspect of the business. She remained with the firm through its acquisition, gaining firsthand experience through the growth and evolution of a successful court reporting organization.

​

At Butler Reporting, Sherry brings that same combination of creativity, organization, and industry knowledge to help strengthen the firm’s brand, client experience, and continued growth.

​

Fun Fact: Sherry is happiest when she is organizing, creating, or making something. She is also a proud cat mom to Mickey and Minnie, who keep her company when she isn't busy turning ideas into reality.

Mackenzie Laurino

Billing Assistant

Mackenzie Laurino is beginning her professional career at Butler Reporting as a Billing Assistant, where she is gaining valuable, hands-on experience in the court reporting industry. She brings a strong educational background, having earned her Associate in Arts degree and a degree in Architecture from Palm Beach State College. She is currently continuing her education at the University of Central Florida, where she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree.

​

Mackenzie is eager to learn, grow, and develop her professional skills while gaining firsthand experience in the day-to-day operations of a court reporting firm.

​

Fun Fact: Mackenzie has been around the court reporting industry since she was seven years old, helping her mom with marketing materials, event platters, and other projects. Over the years, she has even helped  set up several court reporting locations, giving her a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the industry. She may be new to the professional side of court reporting, but she is certainly no stranger to it!
